Get to know Ancient Persia by visiting most glorious sites in western Iran. Bordering Mesopotamia, western Iran is home to early civilizations. Starkly beautiful nature along with the ancient ruins is what you cannot miss.
Provinces are: Hamadan, Zanjan, Kermanshah, Lorestan, Khuzestan, Fars.
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival in Tehran you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
DAY 2: Visiting Qazvin
Head to Qazvin and Alamut valley to have a joyful trekking to the Alamut castle. Continue your way to Zanjan.
DAY 3: Visiting Zanjan
Today you will visit the world’s tallest brick dome built in 14th century, Gonbad Soltaniye is now a world heritage site. Visit Salt men museum. Continue your way to Hamadan.
DAY 4: Visiting Hamadan
Full day city excursion of Hamadan, known in ancient time as Ecbatana. Unfortunately little of antiquity remained but now it has tomb of 2 of greatest Iranian scientists; Avicenna and Khayyam. Then visit Esther & Mordecai tomb, Iran’s most important Jewish pilgrimage site.
DAY 5: Hamadan to Kermanshah
Leave Hamadan to Kermanshah, on the way visit Bas relief carvings of Bistun, Kangavar and stay overnight at a local house in Sahne.
DAY 6: Kermanshah to Khuzestan
Early in the morning we head Khuzestan but on the way will have a short stop to see the superbly picturesque Falak-Ol-Aflak fortress in Khoramabad.
DAY 7: Susa and Shushtar
Today is dedicated to ancient Persia ruins. Susa, once among the greatest cities of Persian empire, Chogha-Zanbil brick ziggurat, the world’s best surviving example of Elamite architecture and Shushtar Hydraulic system are our visits today.
DAY 8: Shiraz Tour
Fly to Shiraz early in the morning, after a short rest start your sightseeing in Shiraz. Touring starts with Vakil complex, consist of Mosque; Bath and Bazaar; We continue to Pink mosque, one of the most elegant and photographed mosques in southern Iran. Karim-khan Arg, this burly fortress was built in the early Zand period and formed part of the royal court that Karim Khan had hoped would develop to rival Esfahan.
DAY 9: Achemenid Sites
Today visit one of the most important sites of the Ancient World, the ceremonial capital of the Achamenid kings, Persepolis. The tour continues to the tombs Naghsh-e Rostam (Necropolis), Rock tombs of Naqsh-e Rostam are magnificent. And then visit Pasargadae, Tomb of Cyrus the great.
DAY 10: Visiting Kazeroon
head to Kazeron and visit one of greatest cities of ancient Persia, with bas reliefs and ruins of Temples built by Roman soldiers.
DAY 11: A day with nomads

DAY 12: Departure
You can fly to Dubai via international airport in Laar, or fly to Tehran.
